First Alessandro brought us his maps of Barolo and Barbaresco, which have been called the greatest maps ever produced for a wine region.
They’ve been followed by a steady stream of other pioneering maps—dedicated to regions not only in Italy, but in France and California as well. Collectively, all of these maps have secured his standing as wine’s pre-eminent cartographer.
Now Alessandro is giving us breathtaking framed 3-dimensional maps of Chianti Classico. If you’ve travelled through that part of Tuscany, you know it has one of the most amazing topographies on the planet. Now you can feel and touch all the hills and valleys that make this region so extraordinary.
The frame is roughly 26.5″ x 36″, and the map itself is drawn at a scale of 1 to 60,000.
These maps are available by pre-order only at the very attractive price of $140, including packing and ground shipping anywhere in the continental U.S. They are expected to arrive in this country in June and be available for shipping at that time.
