Alessandro Masnaghetti’s breathtakingly detailed maps of the Langhe have been one of the year’s most exciting discoveries— affording us with unprecedented views of Piedmont. So we were thrilled to discover that Masnaghetti has also undertaken the daunting task of mapping the great vineyards of Tuscany.

So far he has completed four regions: Bolgheri, Gaiole in Chianti, Panzano and Radda in Chianti. Montalcino is slated for release next year.

Stunning Detail. Each map is large in format (23 x 33 inches) printed both sides. On the front is a detailed color map of the entire region, showing all of the major sectors and important vineyards. For visitors, roads are clearly outlined, including even the most panoramic hilltop views.

The back of the map is printed in both Italian and English and includes lengthy discussions of each sector's terrain.
