“Great, almost electric tension, finesse and vitality. 98 rating.”
Stephane Reinhardt, Wine Advocate on the 2015
“Nectar of the gods! 97 rating.”
John Gilman on the 2016
Domaine Huet’s Cuvée Constance is a nectar so unimaginable in its richness that it may surpass any other dessert wine in the world.
Its breathtaking focus, kaleidoscopic complexity and monumental sweetness are the result of a unique combination of Huet's three grand cru vineyards and the arrival of an historic year, with a dizzying amount of botrytis in the vines.
The model for a great Constance was created the first time it was made in 1989. The greatness of that wine was rivaled twenty years later in 2009. And in 2015 and 2016, arguably the third and fourth greatest Constances came along.
When we offered the 2015 and 2016 back in 2018 and 2019, we sold out of our allocations at $155 a bottle. And we were convinced that was the last we'd see of both vintages.
But then we were given another bite of the apple from the Huet library: in a ratio of two bottles of 2015 for every bottle of 2016 we bought. And so, with the Dollar stronger than at any time since the late 1990s, we're able to make this extraordinary offer:
