Released right after the highly publicized 2002 Goisses, the 2000 Clos des Goisses didn't get a lot of immediate attention. But over time, it has won the hearts of connoisseurs and critics globally—developing into one of the great Clos des Goisses of recent years.

A tiny crop produced a classic Goisses that perfectly balances pure chalk minerality with the natural ripeness that no other vineyard in Champagne can.

We've been buying 2000 Goisses since the very first release, and have laid in several late “L.V.” releases. The latest releases have become much more expensive, but we still have a bit of the great 2015 disgorement we purchased at a fantastic price. That's what we're offering here.

Antonio Galloni on the 2015 disgorgement: “96 rating ... a fabulous choice for readers who enjoy Champagnes with a bit of bottle age complexity. Hazelnut, dried flowers, orchard fruit, herbs, mirabelle and lightly honeyed notes are all beautifully delineated throughout. The 2000 offers the weight and slightly more mature notes of a mature Champagne, but with the freshness that comes from impeccable provenance and a relatively recent disgorgement.”

Burghound: “95 rating ... a beautifully layered nose of yeast, lemon rind, brioche, dried flowers and spice hints. There is excellent volume and superb intensity to the firm mousse that despite the firmness exhibits a very fine bead. This is exceptionally impressive in the mouth with the same striking complexity of the nose coupled with positively gorgeous length.”
